Business Analysis Role

This position involves analyzing business data to inform strategic decisions and optimize business operations.

We are seeking a Commercial Business Analyst to join our team in Lahore, Pakistan. This role will involve providing reporting and analytical support to senior management in the areas of data generation, consolidation, analysis, and reporting related to business results, sell-in, sell-through, trade inventory, retail, and operational KPIs, revenue forecasting, and reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's or master's degree in management sciences/accounting & finance, economics from a reputable business school. They should also have at least 1-2 years' related experience in retail/FMCG/tech companies in similar data-centric roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically allocate stock to stores based on sales trends, store capacity, and regional demand to ensure optimal product availability.
  • Analyze store performance, identifying underperforming stock and making recommendations for reallocation or promotional activities.
  • Manage the inter-store transfer process, moving slow-moving inventory to locations where it can sell faster.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to continuously refine replenishment strategies, ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time.
  • Collaborate with the commercial and retail teams to gather feedback on product performance and make data-driven decisions on stock replenishment.

Functional Competencies:

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Ability to analyze complex datasets, generate insights, and communicate findings effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced Excel Expertise: Proficiency in complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and PowerPivot.
  • Power BI: Experience in creating sophisticated, visually engaging dashboards, data modeling, and report optimization.
  • Able to maintain good awareness of industry-related trends.
  • Excellent interdepartmental coordination skills.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in management sciences/accounting & finance, economics from a reputable business school.
  • At least 1-2 years' related experience in retail/FMCG/tech companies in similar data-centric roles.
