Job Description

As a procurement professional, you will play a critical role in driving business outcomes through effective sourcing strategies. This involves conducting market and internal analysis to develop tactics for negotiating with third-party suppliers. Your goal is to ensure stakeholder requirements are met while minimizing costs and maximizing value.

The opportunity sits within the indirect procurement delivery group, covering core procurement activities from category management to supplier management. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into sourcing and spend management activities.

As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring effective and efficient delivery of core procurement services. This includes applying general procurement and specialized knowledge or expertise in a specific commodity or spend area.

You will work closely with other team members to support customer demand, improve the customer buying experience, and deliver on day-to-day operational activities. Your role will involve providing capacity and expertise to deliver productivity and customer-oriented projects/solutions.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing and executing sourcing strategies to meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Conducting market and internal analysis to inform sourcing decisions.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers.
  • Delivering and executing sourcing strategies by leveraging spend, category know-how, and negotiation skills.
  • Translating sourcing outcomes into content and automated buying channels that improve business adoption and efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have a university degree in business or a related field and at least 5 years of procurement experience in strategic sourcing, category strategy building, and project execution. You should also possess knowledge and experience in procurement systems and processes.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Category and sourcing subject matter specialist.
  • Project management skills.
  • Fluency in English to a business level.
  • Awareness of adjacent commodities and Research & Development commodity areas.
