Lead Technical Strategist

The Lead Technical Strategist will oversee the end-to-end process of solution development, including data ingestion, storage, processing, analysis, and visualization. This role requires strong technical management skills, project management, team building, mentoring, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will work from a global services facility or virtually and will be expected to travel on business.

  • This position involves leading a team responsible for developing scalable, efficient, and innovative data and analytics solutions that address complex business problems.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of comprehensive solution architectures, including identifying key components, integration points, and potential challenges.
  • The role requires ensuring design flexibility for integration of various data sources and platforms, optimizing for both real-time and batch processing where needed.
  • Designing and building custom data pipelines and dashboards leveraging emerging technologies is also a critical aspect of this role.
  • The successful candidate will ensure alignment with industry requirements and business objectives and implement best practices in the development of data analytics solutions to maintain security, privacy, and legal compliance.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to align data and analytics goals with broader company objectives focusing on business value creation through IP and analytics is also a key responsibility of this role.
  • The successful candidate will lead and mentor a team of data scientists, analysts, engineers, and IP professionals to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Experience working with cross-functional teams, including legal, R&D, and product teams, to develop and protect analytics-related IP is required. A strong understanding of emerging trends in data analytics technologies, such as big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence is also essential.

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (MS or MBA preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in IT with 10+ years in data & analytics solution development, IP management, or a related field, with at least 4+ years in a leadership or senior management position.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing data-driven solutions (e.g., AI/ML models, analytics platforms, data pipelines) and managing a diverse IP portfolio.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
