Job Overview

This role is responsible for providing high-quality patient care, promoting health and safety, and conducting thorough triage and diagnoses. The Medical Doctor will work in a dynamic environment with diverse personalities and cultures.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive clinical care to patients based on history, physical examination, and available laboratory tests.
  • Conduct daily rounds on patients, monitor progress, and ensure proper handover when responsibilities are assigned to another facility.
  • Advise on further testing and/or advanced care requirements and initiate the referral process.
  • Initiate regular case discussions as part of hands-on training and identify gaps in staff training.
Qualifications and Skills
  • A medical degree with a valid license to practice and board certification or equivalent (board eligible).
  • At least 2 years of relevant clinical work experience post-graduate medical school; experience in low-resource settings is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility and ability to cope with stressful situations and work effectively with diverse personalities and cultures.
