Technical Lead Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the technical vision, building core systems from the ground up, and guiding the engineering team through the game's early and most impactful phases.


This is a pivotal role that requires close collaboration with senior leads across design, art, community, and production to bring a unique gameplay vision to life. We offer a competitive salary and equity package reflecting the importance of this position to our studio's long-term success.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and build a clean, scalable architecture for the core game systems
  • Deliver a LAN-ready playable game within 12 months
  • Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of gameplay, tools, and network programmers
  • Enable rapid iteration through smart tool design and technical planning
  • Lay the groundwork for secure, performant multiplayer infrastructure
  • Collaborate tightly with other teams to streamline workflows

Requirements:
  • 5+ years in game development, including time in a senior or lead technical role
  • Deep experience with Unreal Engine
  • Strong programming skills
  • Familiarity with networked multiplayer game systems (including rollback or client prediction)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor a technical team
  • Understanding of modular skill or ability systems is a strong plus
  • Bonus: Prior experience building tools pipelines or real-time strategy systems
