Enterprise Deployment Specialist

Job Description:

This position involves the overall management of enterprise software application deployment. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams, including the CTO, Software Architect, Network Department, and Software Development Team, to ensure seamless deployment processes.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage multiple enterprise applications at once, handling tasks such as branching, merging, labeling, and security management on a source control tool like TFS.
  2. Oversee the deployment process across the software development life cycle and manage different server environments, including Development, Testing, Staging, and Production.
  3. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal downtime for business operations.
  4. Monitor and maintain all servers involved in the deployment environment, including web, database, and content servers.
  5. Coordinate with the network department to address any server-related concerns and ensure optimal performance.
  6. Manage software versioning, builds, and documentation to keep track of project progress.
  7. Maintain accurate documentation regarding software deployment procedures.
  8. Collaborate with software developers and the network department to resolve configuration issues on deployment servers.
Required Skills:

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • Proficiency in managing different server environments, such as Development, Testing, Staging, and Production.
  • Experience with Windows Server 2003/2008/2008 R2.
  • Knowledge of software packaging and deployment management.
  • Expertise in TFS administration and management.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server 2005/2008 R2 management and scripting.
  • SharePoint Administration skills.
  • Understanding of LAN/WAN technologies, including Ethernet switching.
  • Awareness of underlying network protocols/applications.
  • Excellent analytical and creative thinking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and motivational abilities.
  • Ability to coordinate and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with IIS 6/IIS 7/IIS 7.5.
  • Proficiency in VBS and VB scripting.
