Business Development Manager Job Description

The Business Development Manager role involves researching and selecting vendors for our e-commerce platforms. This position requires identifying and developing relationships with potential vendors, negotiating optimal pricing, and ensuring timely reporting of all activities.

  • Research new vendors, maintain partnerships with existing vendors, and ensure sustainable vendor relations.
  • Negotiate purchasing terms to secure optimal prices and create long-term value.
  • Provide regular, efficient reports on all activities, including progress tracking and metrics analysis.
  • Optimize vendor service delivery to enhance overall effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Analyze brand/supplier performance and profitability, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Regularly visit markets to monitor prices and stay informed about competitor activity.
  • Maintain a comprehensive vendor database for easy filtering and selection.
  • Demonstrate expertise in contract development, sales report generation, and trackable metric implementation.
  • Coordinate between the buying department and customer service team for seamless operations.
  • Monitor competitor promotions and analyze market trends.
