Sales and Business Development Manager
Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales and Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales department, you will be responsible for managing assigned territories, handling distributors, and achieving sales targets through effective implementation of sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Country Business Development Manager (BDM) and Sales Support team to contribute to the route-to-market strategy for target customers.
- Develop targets for key accounts within allocated regions and maintain regular communication with customers to track, monitor, and report on performance against agreed targets.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key customers to assist in resolving issues and collecting payments, and work closely with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Visit stores to check stock levels and product expiry dates to ensure availability of quality products in the market.
- Identify, pursue, and build robust business relationships with key customers across allocated regions.
- Provide specific feedback to the BDM, Quality Improvement and Risk Department (QIRD), and Marketing team on the performance of new and existing product categories or any product-related issues that may arise in the region.
- Track, monitor, and report on actual spend for allocated regions, highlighting any variances against allocated regional budgets.
- Maintain open communication with the BDM and provide regular updates on actual sales versus allocated targets, highlighting any challenges hindering target achievement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor performance, and evolving consumer preferences.
- Prepare and submit regular management sales reports for allocated regions.
- Strong analytical skills to drive data-driven decision making.
- Business acumen to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Negotiation and problem-solving skills to resolve customer issues efficiently.
- Product knowledge to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Educational background: Graduate degree.
- Relevant experience: 3-4 years preferred.
