Trainee Research Scientist Position Overview

This role is an integral part of the IDRL Project in the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health at a leading institution, focused on medical education and research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine technical procedures in the Research Laboratory, including clinical tests and biochemical assays, according to established protocols.
  • Compile reports for various tests conducted and collect and process samples as per the protocol.
  • Implement Safety Standards in the Research Laboratory to ensure the safety of self and others.
  • Precipitate stock solutions, master mixes, and other chemicals/reagents as required for individual projects.
  • Attend scientific lectures and participate in both practical hands-on training and classroom lecture sessions.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics, or Chemistry from a recognized university.
  • Minimum few months' experience or fresh graduate preferred.
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to follow instructions.
  • Good team player with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
