Chief Technical Strategist

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our IT design and management efforts. This key role requires strong technical expertise and leadership skills.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design and implement enterprise-level IT solutions for clients, including integration of on-premises and cloud-native infrastructures.
• Migrate approximately 1600 Windows 7 clients to a new infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Distribute clients across Germany and other sites through small network bandwidths, ensuring efficient data transfer and minimal latency.
• Migrate scripts for initial inclusion in the AD domain and configure Cisco AnyConnect VPN tunnels on Windows 10 LTSB, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity.
• Migrate clients from a Windows Server 2008 R2 Active Directory domain to a Windows Server 2016 Active Directory domain, ensuring seamless transition and minimal downtime.
• Implement migration steps in cooperation with the support team, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
• Create a rollout concept for approximately 650 clients with a very short changeover period, minimizing disruption to business operations.
• Develop and maintain target images for software, system, and solution architectures required to operationalize business requirements for new services or expansion of existing services.
• Coordinate software, system, and solution design in IT projects, ensuring compliance with guidelines and standards of solution architecture and higher-level IT enterprise architecture.
• Identify optimization potentials of IT processes from an architectural point of view, reducing costs, improving quality, and increasing process efficiency.
• Review and evaluate IT processes for inconsistencies, redundancies, and dependencies, ensuring consistent IT process architecture.
• Aceelerate standards in IT systems and processes, recognizing and developing automation potentials.
• Ensure regular reporting to team leaders on work progress, risks, and issues, maintaining transparency and accountability.
• Participate in relevant working groups, preparing and presenting decision templates, and ensuring effective collaboration.
• Transfer knowledge and best practices to colleagues, ensuring continuity and improvement.
• Serve as a contact person for customers, departments, and teams in the area of responsibility, providing expert advice and guidance.
• Advise customers on new products, features, innovations, and their implementation/solution options, driving business growth and satisfaction.
• Design new Windows client releases for various application areas, such as office, production, trade fairs, and events, ensuring innovative and efficient solutions.

Requirements:

• Experience delivering applications across on-premises and cloud-native infrastructures.
• Experience designing and further developing MECM architecture using distribution points/site servers.
• In-depth knowledge of designing, consulting, and implementing Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and Intune.
• Solid knowledge in developing client releases in complex IT landscapes.
• Relevant experience dealing with Windows 10 in the enterprise environment (administration, Windows Installer, features, services, GPO, automation).
• Good knowledge of operating systems, networks, servers, Internet, and end devices.
• Proven capabilities modeling application and system architectures, visualizing technical concepts, and translating them into integrated systems.
• Presence of ITIL Foundation V3 and Microsoft MCTS certificates desirable.
• Very good English skills required, spoken and written.
