Job Overview

The Legal Associate role involves providing legal support to a company's operations in Pakistan. This includes conducting research on corporate law, employment law, intellectual property law, and contract law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research on various issues relevant to the company's operations in Pakistan.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal issues.
  • Support the legal team in managing litigation and dispute resolution matters.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the company's business activities in Pakistan.
  • Assist in compliance efforts by conducting internal audits and developing compliance policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to legal operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law from a reputable institution; LLM or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Admission to the Pakistan Bar Council as an Advocate.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Sound knowledge of Pakistani laws and regulations, with a focus on commercial and corporate law.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and legal research databases.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a multicultural environment.
