Surgical Leadership Fellow

This position offers a unique opportunity for an experienced surgeon to develop leadership skills and advance their career in global surgery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in the care of a wide variety of essential and emergency surgical problems, working closely with a full-time faculty and reporting to their supervisor as needed.
- Provide assistance in OR/SDC sessions with supervising faculty
- Engage in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching as assigned
- Develop leadership skills through didactic modules and experiential learning
The ideal candidate will have:
- Completed a minimum 4-year surgery training program and hold eligible certification such as FCPS Part II or an equivalent international examination
- Appropriate credentials as a general surgeon including but not limited to FCPS, FRCS, or ABS certification
- Prior experience working in a rural area is desirable but not required
