Procurement Manager Job Description

This role plays a critical part in overseeing procurement operations to ensure transparency, efficiency, and compliance. The successful candidate will report to the Deputy Director Procurement and support the implementation of procurement strategies aligned with our organization's objectives.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement centralized procurement strategies that align with business goals.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures.
  • Support negotiation and contract finalization processes.
  • Promote ethical procurement practices and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate procurement activities to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and minimize risks.
  • Monitor cost-saving initiatives and sourcing opportunities to optimize procurement processes.
  • Prepare reports for procurement performance analysis and identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in vendor evaluation and feedback processes to enhance relationships and procurement outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field from a recognized university.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant procurement or supply chain management experience.
  • Experience in public or project-based procurement is highly desirable.
Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in SAP (preferably SAP MM & FIN module) and MS Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of financial and risk management principles to inform procurement decisions.
