The Role of a Manager in Enhancing Student Experience

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced manager to join our team. As a manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Associate Dean in serving as a thought-partner and managing teams in the domains of Academic Advising, Student Success, and Student Support Services.

Your primary responsibilities will include improving advising across campus, conceiving and implementing innovative programs geared towards supporting students and enabling their success at LUMS. You will also work closely with other units to provide administrative support to the central Disciplinary Committee (DC).

In addition, you will be responsible for tracking each person's skillset relative to their current and future roles, helping them develop new skills as appropriate. You will also monitor productivity systems, maintain a professional culture, and sustain high motivation in each team.

Furthermore, you will initiate and monitor new projects with Team Leads, support hiring within relevant OSA teams, guide Professional Development of OSA staff, and update Associate Dean about progress of each OSA domain as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with 3-4 years in a supervisory role
  • At least a Bachelors (Hons.) from a globally reputable and accredited institution
  • Candidates with experience in OSA-related domains such as academic advising, career services, scholarship student support, and other areas of student affairs will be preferred
