Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Asset Integrity Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the implementation of Cathodic Protection systems, conducting coating inspections, and ensuring asset integrity.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and rules regarding Asset Integrity Management systems, including corrosion control work for transmission/distribution pipelines and systems.
  • Design and implement corrosion monitoring and cathodic protection systems through complex activities, including specifications, calculations, graphic and statistical analysis, power assessment, and evaluation of survey data.
  • Resolve cathodic protection and interference problems, including measures to be taken and system adjustments.
  • Implement corrective action through corrosion personnel.
  • Manage various surveys and develop coating rehabilitation plans based on survey findings and assessments.
  • Maintain CCT power sources, ground beds, Pipe to soil potential, and coating, as well as conduct CCT through impressed current and sacrificial anode (Mg anodes) on transmission and distribution networks.
  • Monitor rectification activities in response to field survey findings and monitor CCT levels to ensure effectiveness according to cathodic protection criteria.
  • Conduct different types of asset integrity surveys, including thickness surveys, coating integrity, PCM, DCVG, Close interval surface potential, and interference surveys.
  • Analyze CCT survey reports and provide feedback on coating deterioration and pipeline integrity assessment.
  • Review reports on corrosion monitoring received from assigned areas and guide action accordingly.
  • Analyze pipeline hardware data and prepare course of action.
  • Develop capabilities for in-house repair of faulty equipment.
  • Stay updated on research and development for new technologies related to Asset Integrity and Corrosion Monitoring.
  • Utilize Enterprise Asset Management System for PM Plans, Material Ordering, Root Cause Failure Analysis, and monitoring of strategic maintenance schedules and preventive condition-based monitoring of assets.
  • Ensure timely and accurate procurement of necessary materials and equipment, and follow up on capital works.
  • Provide critical assistance to senior management in preparation, monitoring, and control of yearly Revenue and CAPEX.
  • Manage, motivate, and train department staff to provide Corrosion Control of underground infrastructure from corrosion and rust by applying cathodic protection.
  • Supervise new under-construction pipeline projects and monitor status of coating at project handover.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by senior management.

Requirements:

Candidates should have a BS/BE in Metallurgy/Electrical/Chemical/Mechanical, with minimum 2 years' experience in supervision of Cathodic Protection systems, coating inspections, and asset integrity inspections. Previous experience in the Oil & Gas sector is preferred.
