External Communications Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned External Communications Specialist to lead our external communication and public relations efforts in Pakistan. The successful candidate will drive reputation-building initiatives, amplify brand narratives, engage stakeholders, and develop earned media strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategic external communications plans to enhance our brand reputation in Pakistan, aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Cultivate relationships with government stakeholders, media outlets, journalists, influencers, and PR agencies.
  • Draft and distribute press releases, op-eds, corporate statements, and thought leadership content.
  • Manage media engagements for senior executives, including preparing briefing documents and speeches.
  • Lead storytelling campaigns across earned and owned media to build visibility of our business, people, and community impact.
  • Partner with the Sustainability team to amplify CSR initiatives through external channels.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage, providing regular reports and insights to leadership.
  • Handle crisis communication support and proactive media engagement.
  • Create and publish content for our corporate website.
  • Oversee social media strategy for our external channels.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Legal, Government Affairs, and Bottling Partners to align messaging.
Qualifications:
  • 5–6 years of experience in External/Corporate Communications, Media Relations, or Public Relations in FMCG, agency, or corporate environments.
  • Demonstrated success in reputation management, government relations, content creation/publishing, and public-facing external leadership.
  • Proven ability to work with senior leadership, media, influencers, government, trade associations, and external agencies.
  • Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related fields.
  • Fluency in Urdu and English.
