Client Onboarding Specialist

About the Role

This is a specialized position that focuses on client onboarding and exceptional handling within regulatory standards and jurisdictions. The Client Onboarding Specialist provides regular communication to senior stakeholders on changes in KYC, AML, and AFC areas and ensures any changes required are implemented with minimal disruptions.

The role holder will be responsible for managing all client onboarding requirements with appropriate governance and controls, operating in an environment of strict adherence to SOPs and OLAs to achieve accurate and timely account opening.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand DB's KYC/COB policies and regulations relating to KYC/AML.
  • Perform all KYC-related activities (including due diligence, outreach, coordination) to ensure smooth service to customers and meticulous compliance of Bank's internal directives.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to resolve complex and special case issues.
  • Prepare MIS per business, regulatory, and internal reporting expectations.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to overall reduction in turnaround times.
  • Recognize emerging risks and work with relevant stakeholders to ensure they are flagged and mitigated.
  • Assist during internal/external audits and KYC-related queries from local regulators.
  • General KYC documentation handling and filing of physical documents.
  • Analyze AFC risks associated with clients and escalate potential risks as appropriate.
  • Monitor the queue and check the status of KYC cases.
  • Support key COB projects and initiatives.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you will require a deep understanding of DB's policies and procedures, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

You will also need to possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, along with 2+ years of experience in client onboarding or a related field.
