Job Title: Cloud Engineering Expert

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work on cloud-based infrastructure as a highly skilled DevOps Engineer. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for migrating backend services from Python AWS stack to Kubernetes.

The ideal candidate should have experience with Python backend development, deployment and migration to Kubernetes, and familiarity with AWS including EKS, ECS, Lambda, RDS, etc. Excellent communication skills are required to interact with US-based CTO and engineers. The role involves working in a remote-first environment with a proactive problem-solving approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the migration of backend services to Kubernetes (EKS/GKE/AKS)
  • Develop and maintain robust backend systems using Python and AWS services
  • Integrate with Kafka or similar messaging systems for real-time data pipelines
  • Design scalable, event-driven architectures for real-time robot telemetry and control
  • Collaborate with DevOps, frontend, and product teams to ensure smooth deployment and operations
  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines and IaC configurations
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Kubernetes cluster performance and stability

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Python backend development with at least 3 years of experience
  • Trusted experience deploying and migrating to Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with AWS, including EKS, ECS, Lambda, RDS, etc.
  • Experience with Kafka or similar message queues
  • Excellent communication and daily interactions with US-based CTO and engineers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Helm, CloudFormation) for automated deployments
  • Docker & CI/CD best practices for container workflows
  • Experience in robotics, industrial automation, or warehouse/logistics domains
  • Comfortable in agile, early-stage startup environments
