Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the implementation of our operational risk strategy and policy. The successful candidate will work closely with all businesses and support functions to report, assess, measure, monitor, and control operational risks for the bank.

The role involves planning, developing, and implementing appropriate Operational Risk Management (ORM) frameworks across the bank, considering risk gaps and the level of risk involved within divisions.

The candidate will prepare annual plans for Operational Risk Management RCSA activities and ensure respective schedules are followed properly.

They will review existing and revised policies & manuals of the business and functions to identify and assess operational risks, map processes, and devise or suggest elevation of controls wherever necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 7-8 years of Operations Risk Management experience in Banking industry.
  • Masters degree in a relevant field, such as finance, business, or risk management.
  • Proven experience leading the development and implementation of operational risk management frameworks and policies.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in operational risk management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment techniques and tools, such as risk mapping and scenario analysis.
  • Experience in leading and managing a team of professionals.
