Wood Production Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Wood Production Specialist to oversee and optimize the manufacturing process of wood products. This role involves ensuring efficient production operations, meeting quality standards, and implementing process improvements.

About this Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to play a crucial part in driving productivity, cost-effectiveness, and operational excellence in our woodworking facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing production planning and execution, providing technical support, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective production plans to meet customer demands and production goals.
  • Provide expert technical support and guidance on woodworking techniques, machinery, and materials to ensure high-quality products.
  • Analyze processes and identify areas for improvement, implementing changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in wood and joinery production, preferably in a supervisory or engineering role.
  • Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, joinery methods, and furniture manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with woodworking machinery, tools, and equipment, and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and other relevant design and production tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to process improvement.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
