Job Title: Psychologist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychologist to join our team.

About the Role:

The Psychologist will provide mental health and psychosocial support services, individual and group counseling, and psychotherapy. The role is essential in delivering evidence-based psychological services to clients and their families with mental health conditions and psychosocial issues.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver evidence-based psychological services for clients and their families with mental health conditions and psychosocial issues.
  2. Engage in clinical and supportive supervision to ensure high-quality services.
  3. Collaborate with other service providers as part of a mental health case management team.
  4. Develop and deliver training programs for staff on topics relevant to psychological practice and case management.
  5. Create individualized care plans that are mutually developed with clients.
  6. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Conduct risk assessments and provide guidance on carrying out risk assessments and developing safety plans.
  8. Stay up-to-date on the latest evidence-based psychological interventions and advances in the field of psychology.
  9. Promote Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) through community-based activities.

Requirements:

  1. Master's degree in psychology or a related field, and/or holding a license to practice psychology is essential.
  2. Experience working with an NGO or in a similar context is preferred.
  3. Three or more years' experience in mental health is preferred.
  4. Proficiency in at least one psychotherapy technique is required.
  5. Knowledge of human rights, particularly as they relate to people with mental health and psychosocial concerns, is preferred.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  7. Able to work effectively under pressure in low-resource contexts.
  8. Good ability to work in a multi-ethnic environment.
  9. Interest in learning and continued professional development is essential.
  10. Arabic and English language proficiency is required.
