Job Description:

The Utilities Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless transition of solar projects through the utility application process. This position oversees the management of multiple projects simultaneously, fostering effective communication and collaboration to resolve issues.

This individual is responsible for initiating the utility application process, tracking progress, and submitting project applications to relevant utility companies. They also administer and update NES databases for utility companies and projects, guaranteeing accurate data management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate intake meetings from land sales to utilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews of project documents
  • Initiate the utility application process and track progress according to established procedures
  • Submit project applications to utility companies
  • Manage NES databases for utility companies and projects, ensuring accurate data management
  • Facilitate ongoing dialogue between internal stakeholders to ensure clear and timely communication of project status
  • Act as a liaison between departments to control accountabilities and deliverables
  • Follow up with utility companies as required
  • Monitor and communicate deadlines for utility applications
  • Understand project scope and schedule field work for assigned tasks
  • Upload and track utility documents for applications
  • Submit critical project-specific compliance documents to utilities, REC registries, and other administrative bodies
  • Provide support to Utility Project Manager, Senior Project Coordinator, and NES teams as needed
  • Assess project utility costs to assist the finance department with budgeting
