Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned executive to lead our air freight operations, driving growth and excellence in customer service.

  • This is a senior role that requires strategic thinking, leadership skills, and the ability to develop strong relationships with customers and partners.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring air freight operations, developing sustainable relationships with customers and carriers, selecting and finalizing overseas agents, negotiating contracts, and providing leadership in product development and resource utilization.

  • Monitor Air Freight Operations in accordance with corporate/country business strategy as well as local business/competition environment, to provide and maintain a service level exceeding customer expectation.
  • Develop strong, sustainable relationships with customers, carriers, etc.
  • Selecting/finalizing overseas agents as per requirement.
  • Negotiate with Airlines/Suppliers on contractual/business arrangements.
  • Strategic business planning and budgeting related to Air Freight business.
  • Provide leadership in the areas of product and business development, resource utilization, branch AFR organization and activities.
  • Facilitate and support branches' efforts in maintaining healthy relationships with trade bodies and government agencies & authorities.
  • Airline/Supplier contract, performance and relationship management.
  • Responsible for all IATA compliances.
  • Monitor IATA / ACCAP & Civil Aviation certificate for yearly renewal.
  • Responsible for overall AFR Operations - AFR sites/facilities, traffic management, technical support, resource allocation and local purchasing.
  • Prepare department budgets and take ownership.
  • Approvals for all AFR related payments- including IATA and agents.
