Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to take on the role of Air Freight Operations Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic development and execution of air freight operations.

Your primary objective will be to ensure seamless and efficient logistics services, fostering strong relationships with customers, carriers, and other stakeholders. This involves monitoring air freight operations, aligning with corporate and country business strategies, as well as local market conditions, to provide exceptional customer service.

You will also be responsible for negotiating contractual agreements with airlines and suppliers, developing strategic business plans and budgets for air freight operations, and providing leadership in product development, resource allocation, branch management, and activities.

In addition, you will oversee overall AFR operations, including sites, traffic management, technical support, and local purchasing, ensuring compliance with IATA regulations. Maintaining certifications such as ACCAP and Civil Aviation is also a critical aspect of this role.

This position requires a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in renowned companies, with essential skills including proficiency in MS Office Suite, strong communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information, excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, and strong multitasking ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional follow-up skills to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects, ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure, trade memberships and certifications such as Trade Mark Registration, Custom Agents License, Licensed Ship-Chartering & Ship-Handling, Licensed CHA, and (FMC) approved DynamicShipping B/L.
