We are seeking a highly skilled procurement professional with a degree in Mechanical Engineering to join our team.

About the Role
  • This role involves working closely with the production team to ensure smooth material supply and managing inventory levels to avoid stock shortages.
  • Strong analytical skills are required to analyze bills of quantity and evaluate supplier capabilities.
  • The candidate will also be responsible for negotiating with suppliers, issuing purchase orders, and following up to ensure timely material delivery.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role, as the candidate will need to collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • The ideal candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with industry-standard procurement software.
Responsibilities
  1. Analyze bills of quantity from drawings and evaluate their feasibility.
  2. Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth material supply and manage inventory levels to avoid stock shortages.
  3. Negotiate with suppliers and issue purchase orders to the most suitable ones.
  4. Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely material delivery.
  5. Stay updated on material quality issues and implement measures to resolve them.
  6. Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed concurrently with material supply.
  7. Reconcile ledgers of the organization and suppliers, and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
  8. Maintain accurate records of material sourcing and prequalify potential suppliers.
  9. Maintain healthy relationships with suppliers and keep them informed about future demands.
  10. Coordinate with the production department to meet any material urgencies.
Requirements

The successful candidate should possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as strong analytical skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with industry-standard procurement software are also essential.
