Head of Professional Services

About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Professional Services to lead our professional services team, overseeing a portfolio of projects with diverse requirements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale software projects, driving profitability, and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • P&L Management: Manage the profit and loss (P&L) for your portfolio of projects, ensuring profitable outcomes and driving growth.
  • Business Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to drive business growth, identify new opportunities, and expand our customer base.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of project managers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Talent Development: Recruit, retain, and develop top talent to support our growing business, ensuring we have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Customer Engagement: Foster strong relationships with customers, understand their needs, and deliver tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Financial Planning: Provide financial planning and analysis to inform business decisions, optimize resource allocation, and drive profitability.
  • Technology Adoption: Stay ahead of the curve by embracing new technologies, including Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), and implementing innovative solutions to drive business growth.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Demonstrate exceptional leadership and collaboration skills, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Agile Methodologies: Possess a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, including SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban, and apply them effectively to drive project success.
  • Operational Efficiency: Proven experience in managing fixed-price projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery while maintaining profitability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software project delivery, with a strong background in managing large global customer accounts.
  • Proven track record in leading large teams, driving project profitability, and delivering successful customer engagements.
  • Expertise in financial management, including understanding income statements, Gross Margin, and contribution margin.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, including SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to drive P&L.
  • Excellent customer relationship management and internal collaboration.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and risk management expertise.
  • Proficient in managing fixed-price projects and driving operational efficiency.
  • Enthusiastic about GenAI and new technologies, with a focus on ethical implementation.
