Information Systems Auditor Role

This role is pivotal in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of our technological infrastructure.

You will analyze and assess our company's systems, processes, and controls to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and are secure against potential risks.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Developing, implementing, testing, and evaluating IT audit review procedures;
  • Examining IT controls, evaluating design and operational effectiveness, determining exposure to risk, and developing remediation strategies;
  • Participating in the development of the annual IT audit plan;
  • Performing IT audit reviews using established auditing standards;
  • Developing IT audit programs for each assignment;
  • Conducting efficient and effective IT audit procedures;
  • Providing recommendations and guidance on identified security and IT risks;
  • Communicating complex technical issues in simplified terms to relevant staff;
  • Preparing audit reports and working papers to ensure adequate documentation exists to support completed audits and conclusions;

Requirements for success in this role include a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, with certifications such as CISA highly desirable. Relevant work experience includes 5 years of full-time experience as an IS/IT auditor, preferably in microcredit industry, financial services, commercial banks, audit companies, or central banks.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of ISACA IT Audit and Assurance Standards, Guidelines, and Tools and Techniques, as well as proficiency in current technological developments/trends. Additionally, fluency in English is required, with other FINCA working languages such as Spanish, French, or Russian being a plus.

  • Gathering data, compiling information, and preparing reports;
  • Establishing and maintaining harmonious working relationships with co-workers, staff, management, and external contacts;
