As a Medical Officer, you will play a vital role in managing the operations and administration at our medical centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operational Management: You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities at the medical centre, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
  2. Compliance and Due Diligence: It is your duty to ensure compliance with established roles, responsibilities, functions, and procedures, exercising due care and diligence in discharging your duties.
  3. Staff Attendance and Punctuality: You will be expected to maintain attendance and punctuality records of doctors and staff, ensuring they meet their obligations.
  4. Medical Policies and Procedures: You will be responsible for ensuring that all medical policies and procedures are being followed, including those related to medical referrals, sick leaves, and record keeping.
  5. Patient Histories: Regular review of patient histories, particularly chronic patients, is essential to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  6. Treatment Protocols: You will establish whether necessary treatment procedures have been conducted and whether referrals were justified, as per disease protocols, in monthly performance reports.
  7. Emergency Reporting: In case of emergency situations, you will report them to the In-charge Up-country Medical Centre for approval or ratification.
  8. Performance Reporting: Periodic reporting of the medical centre's performance to the In-charge is crucial for maintaining high standards.
  9. Discipline and Audits: You will be responsible for maintaining discipline among staff and doctors, conducting regular audits, and assessing medical books, clinical examinations, and referrals.

Additionally, you will visit panel and non-panel hospitals to verify patient identities, medical facilities provided, and communicate with treating doctors regarding diagnosis, investigations, treatment, and discharge. Your tasks include responding to urgent calls, performing other responsibilities assigned by CMO, and submitting monthly reports detailing visits and findings.
