Strategic Business Leader - Compliance and HR

Job Description:

The Strategic Business Leader will oversee the administration and compliance of statutory requirements across all facilities in Pakistan. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective governance, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage labor and other litigation as assigned by the Head of Legal.
  2. Administer and comply with regulatory requirements at all facilities.
  3. Liaise with local governmental and non-governmental bodies.
  4. Coordinate with third-party service providers.
  5. Design a framework for HR policies in compliance with prevalent laws.
  6. Ensure compliance of HR policies through employee discipline and grievance handling mechanisms.
  7. Manage land acquisition/disposal and rental transactions for new stores/warehouses.
  8. Assist the Head of Legal in contractual matters, including services and others assigned.
  9. Train and assist HR colleagues in handling employee grievances according to labour laws.
  10. Conduct disciplinary proceedings as required.
  11. Participate in meetings with unions regarding industrial disputes and negotiate resolutions.
  12. Manage disciplinary issues in accordance with applicable laws and company guidelines, contributing to process improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Strong leadership (written, oral, and interpersonal) and governance skills.
  2. Effective administration and compliance experience.
  3. Human Resource Management or Industrial Relations qualification.
  4. 5-6 years of experience in a similar role.
  5. Age 25-35 years.

Notes:

This role is based in Pakistan and requires compliance with local laws and regulations.
