Senior Middleware Specialist

Job Purpose:

To design, develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise integration solutions using WSO2 middleware platforms (EI, API Manager, Identity Server, etc.), ensuring seamless connectivity, security, and scalability for digital systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Integration Development & Deployment

Design, develop, and deploy integration solutions using WSO2 Enterprise Integrator (EI/ESB) and API Manager. Configure APIs, proxies, sequences, and mediators for SOAP/REST services. Implement message transformation (JSON/XML/XSLT), routing, and protocol mediation (HTTP/SFTP/JMS).

API Management

Set up and manage WSO2 API Manager (publishing, throttling, analytics). Implement OAuth2, JWT, and SAML for API security. Optimize API performance and troubleshoot gateway issues.

Identity & Access Management (IAM)

Configure WSO2 Identity Server for SSO, MFA, and role-based access control (RBAC). Integrate with LDAP/Active Directory and third-party identity providers.

System Optimization & Security

Monitor and tune WSO2 servers for high availability (clustering, load balancing). Apply patches/upgrades and enforce security best practices. Automate deployments using CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).

Troubleshooting & Collaboration

Debug and resolve middleware issues (latency, failures, SLA breaches). Document architectures, SOPs, and provide training to teams. Collaborate with developers, network teams, and business stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science/IT or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years with WSO2 EI/ESB, API Manager, Identity Server.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in XML, XPath, XSLT, Swagger, SOAP/WSDL.
    • Knowledge of microservices, ETL, and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Familiarity with RDBMS (MySQL/Oracle) and NoSQL.
    • Certifications (Preferred): WSO2 Certified Developer/Architect.
