Automation Engineering Specialist

This role involves the design, development, and maintenance of automation playbooks within our platform using Python. These playbooks will enable seamless integrations and intelligent automation workflows for our customers.

We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to collaborate with our Product and Customer Success teams in translating customer needs into smart, scalable automation solutions. As part of this team, you will work closely with stakeholders to understand use cases and deliver customer-centric solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Create and maintain automation playbooks using Python to streamline detection, response, and remediation processes.
  • Integration and Collaboration: Develop and maintain integrations with third-party security tools such as EDRs, SIEMs, firewalls, threat intel platforms, and ticketing systems.
  • Customer-Centric Solutions: Collaborate with Product Managers and Customer Success teams to understand customer requirements and deliver tailored automation solutions.
  • Reusable Components: Assist in building reusable automation components that can scale across multiple customer environments.
  • Optimization and Debugging: Optimize and debug existing integrations and workflows based on performance and reliability feedback.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up to date with evolving cybersecurity tools and APIs to expand our integration library.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in automation engineering, scripting, or integration development in a cybersecurity or IT environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python; experience with REST APIs and JSON data manipulation.
  • Cybersecurity Tools: Familiarity with tools such as Splunk, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Sentinel, Jira, ServiceNow, etc.
  • Cybersecurity Knowledge: Understanding of common cybersecurity workflows (incident response, alert triage, threat hunting, etc.).
  • SOAR Platforms: Experience working with SOAR platforms or automation frameworks is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
