Overview:

We're looking for a highly skilled Senior System Engineer to lead the development and maintenance of a secure, robust data platform and related processes. You'll be part of a cross-functional team working alongside data, system, security, and software engineers to improve our product's performance, reliability, and scalability.

Your Key Tasks:

  • Maintain and optimize Databricks clusters for optimal performance;
  • Develop and maintain the Infrastructure as Code for the Data as a Service platform;
  • Collaborate with the team to refine the architecture and resolve technical issues;
  • Contribute to automating responses to events that might happen;
  • Grow into a Principal System Engineer role, focusing on cross-team initiatives and product design.

Essential Skills:

  1. Extensive experience with Databricks infrastructure and its scaling;
  2. Multi-tenant installation experience in Databricks is beneficial;
  3. Background in building, scaling, and maintaining data platforms on public clouds (preferably Azure);
  4. Knowledge of monitoring and metrics tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor;
  5. Programming and automation skills;
  6. Desired state configuration expertise (Terraform/OpenTofu preferred);
  7. Minimum 5 years in a similar role managing workloads on public cloud;
  8. Additional benefits include experience with GitOps/ArgoCD and Linux-based operating systems.
