Accounting Expert for Cost Center Operations

The role of the Accountant is to handle SARM expense accounting and Manufacturing Overhead accounting for SAP LE and plants. This position ensures the financial data's integrity and reliability in SAP and GCAP, working closely with a team of Accountants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and modify master data for cost centers, cycles, and assessment cycles as per business needs.
  • Perform end-to-end month-end closing activities, including cost center cycle run and plant closing.
  • Update plan data in SAP based on provided data.
  • Generate reports comparing plan vs. actual for various functions.
  • Prepare monthly MIS, variance analysis, and financial performance reports.
  • Develop trend and flux analysis reports for 10K/10Q filings.
  • Prepare cash flow reports and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Implement process improvements for cost center accounting and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX legislation.
  • Maintain general ledgers and perform complete accounting cycles in line with US GAAP.
  • Execute SAP closing activities for multiple plant sites.
  • Reconcile SAP and GCAP balances monthly.
Stakeholder Management
  • Support onshore teams with SARM and Manufacturing Overhead accounting.
  • Participate in business meetings and resolve issues.
  • Respond to management queries with accurate data.
  • Provide relevant data and analysis to management and financial users.
  • Support master data processes and perform data maintenance.
Operational Excellence
  • Implement controls to identify issues proactively.
  • Adhere to DuPont's internal control policies and SOX compliance.
  • Develop knowledge of business processes to support SARM accounting, including intercompany billing, accruals, and reconciliations.
Requirements
  • CA (Inter), CWA (Inter), or MBA with 5-6 years of experience.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Advanced SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong technical understanding of accounting principles.
  • Proven ability to drive results.
