Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Category Manager to oversee a group or category of products for our organization. This individual will be responsible for the pricing and overall promotion of a product category to maximize consumer appeal, while also maintaining strong relationships with vendors and managing product range effectively.

A successful Category Manager must have extensive experience in understanding consumer needs and the retail environment, as well as a commercial mindset and full comprehension of marketing and sales principles. Exceptional communication skills are also essential for this role.

The primary goal is to increase sales and profitability of the business to drive sustainable growth, which requires developing long-term development strategies for product categories and determining the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Connect with Local Distributors and Suppliers to secure better pricing and quality services.
  • Manage Categories/Attributes Sets/Attributes to ensure effective product assortment and merchandising.
  • Update Featured products to showcase new arrivals and promotions.
  • Lead a team of data entry specialists to ensure efficient product entry and accuracy.
  • Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality services.
  • Place appropriate orders to ensure product availability that meets consumer demands.
  • Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility and appeal.
