Operational Risk Manager

This is a senior position responsible for implementing and managing the risk management framework across various technical and operational units within the organization.


Job Description:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure business continuity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and prioritize risks, and develop effective mitigation plans.
  • Provide guidance and support to departments in controlling and managing identified risks, and monitor progress to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Design and implement risk dashboards to monitor key operational risks using Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead risk identification, assessment, and on-going monitoring activities for high-risk operational processes, and drive the implementation of strategies, policies, procedures, and internal controls to identify issues resulting from internal and/or external audits.
  • Perform process mapping analysis and process re-engineering to optimize operational efficiency and reduce risk exposure.
  • Review and maintain the enterprise risk management system up-to-date through periodic updates of risk registers, and guide technical departments to finalize and fill in risk-related entries and mitigation actions.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Engineering Graduate or MBA from an HEC-recognized university.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in risk management, preferably in the energy industry.
  • Registration with PEC is mandatory for Engineers.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures, with ability to adapt to changing regulatory requirements.
