Our organization is seeking an experienced professional to lead our risk management and compliance efforts. As the Head of Risk and Compliance, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to mitigate financial and operational risks.

Risk Management

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing risks associated with financial transactions, operational processes, and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and assessing potential risks within the organization.
  • Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitoring and reporting on risk levels and compliance status.
Internal Control Review

You will also be responsible for reviewing and evaluating internal controls within our finance department. This includes ensuring that all financial processes are accurate, timely, and compliant with relevant policies and regulations.

  • Patient Billing: Ensure patient billing processes are accurate, timely, and compliant with financial policies.
  • Student Billing: Oversee student billing practices, ensuring compliance with tuition fee structures and timely invoicing.
  • Fixed Assets Management: Monitor fixed assets, including procurement, depreciation, and disposal processes.
  • Cash and Treasury Management: Assess cash flow management, banking, liquidity management, and treasury operations.
Regulatory Compliance

We require a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, accounting standards, and compliance requirements for educational and healthcare institutions. You will ensure that our organization adheres to all statutory and regulatory requirements, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws and industry standards.

  • Maintain awareness of changing regulations and advise senior management accordingly.
  • Collaborate with legal and regulatory bodies as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international statutory and regulatory requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, ACA/FCA or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in risk management, internal audit, or compliance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
