Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels, ensuring that stock is available to meet demand without overstocking.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy in stock records.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
  • Assist in developing and implementing inventory control procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in inventory management.
  • Collaborate with the Inventory Manager to streamline inventory processes and reduce waste.
  • Generate regular inventory reports, including stock status, reorder levels, and inventory turnover rates.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on inventory analysis.
  • Liaise with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to ensure seamless inventory operations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to manage lead times, delivery schedules, and order quantities.
  • Communicate inventory-related issues and updates to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Supervise and mentor inventory staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
  • Conduct training sessions for team members on inventory management best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards in inventory management.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and ensure proper documentation for audits.
  • Implement safety protocols to prevent loss, damage, and accidents related to inventory.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-6 years of experience in inventory management or a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
