Head of Stock/Inventory Audit
to lead and oversee our audit and compliance function across all branches and warehouses.

Position Overview

This is a senior leadership role responsible for designing and implementing stock audit frameworks, leading audit teams, ensuring compliance with SOPs, and mitigating operational risks across the retail network. The incumbent will play a critical role in enhancing inventory integrity, reducing shrinkage, and supporting management in achieving organizational efficiency and transparency.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Audit Leadership

  • Develop and implement audit strategies, policies, and procedures for inventory and stock management.
  • Lead nationwide stock audits across warehouses, outlets, and after-sales operations.
  • Supervise and guide audit teams, ensuring timely, accurate, and reliable reporting.
  • Present audit findings and recommendations directly to senior management.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Identify risks in stock handling, retail operations, and after-sales processes.
  • Recommend corrective actions, new SOPs, and policy updates to reduce risk.
  • Ensure compliance with internal guidelines, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Establish preventive controls to strengthen transparency and accountability.

Operational & System Improvements

  • Review and enhance ERP and stock management systems (SAP, Oracle, ERP).
  • Introduce audit analytics, KPIs, and dashboards for management decision-making.
  • Work closely with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure alignment of audit insights with business goals.

Team Leadership & Capacity Building

  • Mentor, train, and evaluate auditors at junior and mid-level positions.
  • Build a culture of integrity, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for smooth audit execution.

Requirements

  • Education:
    MBA, ACCA, CA-Inter, or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or Auditing.
  • Experience:
    7–10 years in stock, inventory, or internal audit; at least 3 years in a senior leadership role within retail, FMCG, or electronics.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of stock audit, inventory control, and compliance frameworks.
  • Expertise in ERP/audit tools such as SAP, Oracle, and other software.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify gaps and propose improvements.
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills.
  • Other:
