Role Overview:

The IT Officer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the office's IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth internet connectivity, resolving networking issues, and providing support for all office equipment including computers, printers, and related systems. This role requires a proactive individual who can troubleshoot efficiently and maintain a secure and reliable IT environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor internet connectivity, routers, switches, and network performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve all networking issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Provide technical support for office equipment (computers, laptops, printers, scanners, etc.).
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Ensure data backup and security protocols are implemented and followed.
  • Maintain an updated inventory of IT equipment and licenses.
  • Coordinate with external vendors/service providers for internet, hardware repairs, or upgrades.
  • Ensure antivirus, firewalls, and other security measures are up to date.
  • Train and assist employees in basic IT troubleshooting and best practices.
  • Document IT processes, issues, and resolutions for future reference.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT support, networking, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of internet protocols, networking equipment, and system administration.
  • Familiarity with Windows/Mac operating systems and common office applications.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues quickly.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
