Assistant Manager – IT
to support the management of the company's IT infrastructure, systems, and support operations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional with a strong technical foundation, capable of working independently while also supporting the broader IT strategy led by the IT Manager.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & Systems Support:
- Assist in maintaining, upgrading, and monitoring IT systems including hardware, networks, servers, and software.
- Support optimization of cloud-based services and local network environments.
- Help ensure data integrity, backup, and disaster recovery processes are in place and effective.
User Support & Issue Resolution
- Act as a key point of contact for daily IT support needs.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for both on-site and remote employees.
- Support training of staff on IT tools, systems, and best practices.
Security & Compliance
- Help implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
- Assist with compliance efforts related to internal policies and industry standards.
- Support risk assessment and mitigation planning.
Technology Initiatives & Projects
- Contribute to the evaluation and rollout of new tools and technologies.
- Assist in IT-related improvements and automation initiatives.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers under the supervision of the IT Manager.
Asset Management & Procurement
- Help maintain accurate records of IT hardware and software assets.
- Assist in the procurement process for IT equipment and software.
- Track software licenses, subscriptions, and renewals.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3–4 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role.
- Solid troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network environments.
- Exposure to managing or supporting small-to-medium scale IT projects.
- Hands-on experience with cloud systems (e.g., Google Workspace, AWS), firewalls, VPNs, and enterprise tools.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Proactive attitude and ability to work independently under guidance.
