Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable
Telecom Power Technician
to install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecom power systems and related infrastructure. The role involves ensuring uninterrupted power supply to telecom sites by managing DC power systems, batteries, rectifiers, hybrid solutions, and associated electrical equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience in telecom power systems, and the ability to work independently in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, test, and commission telecom power equipment (rectifiers, inverters, UPS, solar solutions, hybrid power systems).
  • Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance of power systems at telecom sites.
  • Monitor and maintain DC power plants, battery banks, and load distribution.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults related to power equipment, cabling, and grounding.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company policies.
  • Conduct site surveys, prepare reports, and document all maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with network and field teams for smooth operation of telecom services.
  • Support energy efficiency initiatives and recommend improvements to reduce operational costs.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide timely restoration of power.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma / DAE in Electrical / Electronics / Telecom Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in telecom power systems preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of DC power systems, batteries, rectifiers, UPS, solar and hybrid solutions.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with tools, testing instruments, and safety procedures.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work in outdoor/remote site conditions.

  • Knowledge of energy management and hybrid/green power solutions.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work under pressure.
