The Housekeeping Executive is responsible for planning and managing the day-to-day and long-term housekeeping operations across the cinema. This role ensures that all areas — including auditoriums, lobbies, restrooms, and staff spaces — are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation. The position also involves coordinating with other departments to support smooth operations and a great customer experience.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations & Cleanliness

  • Supervise cleaning and upkeep of all public areas, cinema halls, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, offices, and staff zones.
  • Ensure cleanliness standards are maintained before, during, and after showtimes.
  • Carry out regular inspections of the premises to ensure all areas meet hygiene and appearance standards.
  • Respond promptly to urgent cleaning needs or guest complaints related to cleanliness.

Team Management

  • Conduct daily briefings with supervisors and lead regular team meetings to review goals and share updates.
  • Provide on-the-job training to staff on cleaning techniques, product use, and hygiene practices.
  • Motivate team members and lead performance evaluations and yearly appraisals.
  • Manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and plan leaves during low-occupancy periods.

Stock & Inventory

  • Monitor and maintain par stock levels of cleaning materials, equipment, and uniforms in line with budget.
  • Oversee the issuance and return of cleaning linen and staff uniforms.
  • Check equipment regularly to ensure it is functioning properly and safely.

Laundry Operations

  • Oversee the coordination and quality control of outsourced laundry services (once initiated), ensuring timely, hygienic, and reliable cleaning of staff uniforms, clients' cleaning cloths, and linen as per operational requirements.

Vendor & Contractor Coordination

  • Coordinate with external vendors for pest control, deep cleaning, and specialized services as needed.
  • Ensure all outsourced services are delivered effectively and meet the cinema's standards.

Events, Décor & Seasonal Preparation

  • Supervise in-house decor and floral arrangements during special events, premieres, and seasonal celebrations (e.g., Eid, Independence Day, New Year).
  • Ensure visual presentation in public spaces reflects the cinema's brand and guest experience expectations.

Communication & Coordination

  • Attend department head and inter-departmental meetings as required.
  • Work closely with operations, security, and customer service teams to align on needs and service standards.
  • Track guest inquiries and ensure all requests related to cleanliness or housekeeping are logged and resolved efficiently.

Administration & SOPs

  • Review and update all housekeeping policies and procedures annually.
  • Implement a regular deep cleaning (spring cleaning) schedule based on footfall and usage.
  • Maintain Lost & Found records and follow up on items regularly.
  • Oversee the proper handling and security of master keys, and report any unusual incidents to management.
