Junior SQA Automation Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a driven Junior Automation Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in automation testing, experience with version control systems, and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines. This role focuses on designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure high-quality software delivery in an agile environment.

What will be your responsibilities?

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Appium, and JMeter.
• Conduct API Testing using Postman to validate backend services and integrations.
• Utilise TestNG for test case management and execution.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify, document, and resolve defects.
• Use GitHub for version control and code collaboration.
• Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing processes.
• Contribute to test planning, execution, and reporting to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Participate in improving testing processes and adopting best practices.

What are we looking for, and what does it require to be the right fit for this role?

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 6 months to 2 years of experience in automation testing.
• Proficiency in Selenium for web automation testing.
• Experience with Appium for mobile application testing.
• Strong programming skills in Java for test script development.
• Expertise in TestNG for test case management and execution.
• Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing.
• Knowledge of JMeter for performance and load testing.
• Solid understanding of API Testing methodologies.
• Experience with Version Control Systems, specifically GitHub.
• Familiarity with Manual Testing techniques.
• Ability to create and maintain Manual Test Cases for functional and regression testing.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and their integration with testing frameworks.
• Proficient in designing and building automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Capable of maintaining and enhancing existing automation frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
• Enthusiasm for learning new tools, technologies, and best practices.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with RestAssured for API automation.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
