ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Business Process Documentation:

• Process Mapping: Identifies, visualises, and documents existing business processes using

flowcharts, diagrams, and written descriptions. This involves working with cross-functional

teams to understand the sequence of activities that transform inputs into outputs

• Gap Analysis: Compares current processes with industry best practices, regulatory

requirements, and desired future states to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, redundancies,

and opportunities for optimisation.

• AI and Automation: Drives the integration of AI technologies into business process design and

optimization to enhance efficiency, decision-making, and innovation.

• Stakeholder Interviews: Conducts structured interviews and workshops with stakeholders—

including operations, customer service, IT, and management—to gain insight into the actual

workflow and pain points.

• Documentation Standards: Develops and maintains documentation standards that ensure

clarity, consistency, and usability of business process records. This includes maintaining a

central repository for easy access and version control.

• Change Management Support: Assists change management initiatives by providing accurate

and comprehensive process documentation to support training, communication, and

implementation efforts.

• End-to-End Process Analysis: Analyses how various processes interlink, ensuring that

documentation captures both the high-level overview and the granular details needed for

improvement and compliance.

1. Technical Requirements Gathering:

• Re-work workflows for efficiency, scalability, and compliance.

• Requirements Elicitation: Collaborates with business units, IT, network operations, and external

vendors to collect detailed requirements for new systems, services, or enhancements.

• Translation of Business Needs: Converts business process documentation into actionable

technical requirements that developers, engineers, and solution architects can use.

• Technical Workshops: Organises and facilitates workshops aimed at uncovering both functional

and non-functional requirements, such as performance, scalability, security, and integration

needs.

• Documentation of Requirements: Prepares clear, concise, and detailed requirements

documents, user stories, and solution specifications that capture the necessary details for

implementation while remaining accessible to non-technical stakeholders.

• Validation and Sign-Off: Ensures that all requirements are thoroughly validated with

stakeholders, gaining consensus, and securing official sign-off before development

commences.

• Requirements Traceability: Creates and maintains traceability matrices to track requirements

from inception through to testing and deployment, ensuring nothing is overlooked.

• Change and Impact Analysis: Assesses how changes in requirements affect existing systems,

processes, and business objectives, and updates documentation as needed.

• AI and Automation: Incorporates AI and Automation strategies into technical requirements

gathering to optimize process efficiency and innovation

KEY DELIVERABLES

• Process maps, flowcharts, and narrative documentation of current and future states

• Business and technical requirements documents, user stories, and solution specifications

• Requirements traceability matrices and impact analysis reports

• Compliance and data quality documentation

• Project presentations, stakeholder communications, and training materials.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years experience as business analyst

• 3+ year experience in process documentation

• Demonstrated ownership of cross-functional integration projects.

• Advanced process-mapping like Visio, BPMN or Signavio

SKILLS AND COMPETENCEIS

• Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex processes and requirements, identify patterns, and

propose logical solutions.

• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with telco platforms, databases, and data modelling tools;

understanding of APIs, integrations, and software development lifecycle.

• Documentation Expertise: Mastery of business process modelling methods (e.g., BPMN, UML),

requirements gathering techniques, and technical writing.

• Stakeholder Management: Advanced communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with people across business and technical domains.

• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple documentation and requirements streams, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.

• Quality Assurance: Commitment to creating accurate, thorough, and up-to-date documentation that supports quality delivery.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems,

Telecommunications Engineering, Business Analytics or Related technical or quantitative disciplines.
