Production Engineer

We're moving our warehouse automation product from prototype to production and are seeking a
Mechanical Engineer based in China
to lead this transition. You will
manage the production of our hardware
in partnership with an established Chinese manufacturing company.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with suppliers and the engineering design team to review drawings and ensure parts are manufactured to spec.
- Lead the
assembly process
: oversee mechanical and electrical assembly as well as testing. - Manage
inventory and supply chain
: track parts, coordinate orders, and ensure a steady flow of mechanical and electrical components. - Implement and maintain
quality control
for incoming parts and final assemblies.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience taking products from prototype to
mass production
. - Strong background in
plastic injection molding
, with familiarity in machining, sheet metal, and finishing processes. - Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar) for drawing review and updates.
- Hands-on, shop-floor mindset: comfortable with assembly, inspection, and problem-solving.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with experience managing BOMs, drawings, and supplier communication.
