Are you an experienced professional in US taxation with a keen eye for detail and a passion for client service? We are looking for a Officer - US Taxation to join our dynamic team in Karachi. This role involves managing US taxation filings, handling client accounts, ensuring smooth client onboarding, and performing other duties related to US tax compliance.

Responsibilities

Tax Preparation & Compliance:

  • Prepare Federal Income Tax Returns for individuals (1040NR), partnerships (1065), and corporations (1120), including international reporting (Form 5472).

  • Handle State Income Tax Returns for Corporations and LLCs.

  • Prepare specialized amended returns (1040X, 1065X).

  • Ensure timely mailing of returns to the IRS and state tax authorities. Financial Statement Preparation:

  • Create Profit and Loss Statements (Income Statements) for LLCs and Corporations.

  • Prepare Balance Sheets for multi-member LLCs and Corporations. IRS & State Tax Resolution & Support:

  • Assist clients with tax payment processes to the IRS and state agencies.

  • Draft comprehensive responses to notices from federal and state tax authorities.

  • Follow up with tax authorities on submitted responses, penalty abatements, and other inquiries.

  • Resolve client tax issues through expert technical assistance

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on experience in US tax filing.

  • Education: Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation preferred.

  • Skills: - Strong knowledge of US tax laws and filing procedures.

  • Proficiency in preparing financial statements.

  • Excellent communication and client management skills.

  • Ability to handle IRS and state tax resolutions effectively.
