Key Responsibilities:

  1. Content Creation: Develop high-quality written and visual content for various communication channels, including press releases, blog posts, social media updates, newsletters, and website content.
  2. Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets. Draft and distribute press releases and pitch stories to secure media coverage.
  3. Social Media Management: Manage and grow our social media presence by creating and curating engaging content, monitoring social media trends, and interacting with our online community.
  4. Internal Communication: Develop and execute internal communication strategies to keep employees informed and engaged. Ensure consistent messaging across all internal and external channels.
  5. Crisis Communication: Develop crisis communication plans and provide support during crisis situations to protect and enhance the organization's reputation.
  6. Event Coordination: Plan and execute events, webinars, and conferences to promote our brand and engage with stakeholders. Coordinate logistics, invitations, and post-event follow-up.
  7. Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication campaigns. Use data insights to make data-driven improvements.
  8. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, donors, and community members, to build and maintain positive relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a communication or public relations role.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using communication tools and software.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of current industry trends and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Communication or a related field.
  • Experience with crisis communication and issues management.
  • Familiarity with graphic design and multimedia production tools.
  • Experience with video production and editing.
  • Certification in public relations or communication.
