About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team on a full-time remote basis from Pakistan. The successful candidate will support the Finance Manager by managing Accounts Payable and Receivable operations and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional with a solid background in QuickBooks and Dext who is confident working independently and remotely within a UK-based team.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable:

  • Process supplier invoices and upload all invoices into Dext.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and ensure all payments are processed accurately and on time.
  • Prepare payments in the company's banking system for review and approval by senior finance staff.
  • Assist with payment runs and resolve any invoice discrepancies promptly.

Accounts Receivable:

  • Create and issue customer invoices in QuickBooks.
  • Conduct sales reconciliations to ensure accurate revenue reporting.
  • Chase overdue invoices and maintain regular communication with clients regarding outstanding balances.

General Accounting Support:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare regular financial reports and provide updates to the Finance Manager.
