Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer/Administrator with expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to manage, support, and optimize our cloud infrastructure. The role requires strong technical skills in AWS resource management, secure file transfers, automation scripting, and healthcare technology compliance. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of five years of hands-on AWS experience, with the ability to ensure high availability, security, and compliance of all systems and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
AWS Cloud Administration
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS resources including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Security Groups, and CloudWatch.
- Monitor system performance, optimize resource utilization, and maintain high availability.
Secure File Transfers (SFTP)
- Set up and manage SFTP accounts; configure push/pull relationships with internal and external partners.
- Own and manage the schedule of transmissions, ensuring timely and accurate file delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve file transmission issues at server, network, and protocol levels.
Automation & Scripting
- Develop and maintain scripts (Bash, Python, PowerShell) to automate routine processes and system monitoring.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles where applicable.
Healthcare Technology & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare data security standards across cloud and data transmission activities.
- Support patient data integrity and secure workflows across systems.
Application & Service Management
- Restart and maintain critical application services, databases, and data pipelines as needed.
- Perform root-cause analysis and quickly resolve service disruptions.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator) highly desirable.
Candidate Experience
- Minimum
5 years of hands-on experience
in AWS cloud engineering/administration. - Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch) and networking fundamentals.
- Proven experience with
SFTP setup, configuration, and troubleshooting
push/pull relationships. - Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar) for automation.
- Solid understanding of server administration, networking, and security protocols.
- Familiarity with
healthcare technology environments, HIPAA compliance, and patient data handling. - Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
