The Head of Finance at company is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial activities, strategies, and operations to support the organization's financial health and long-term growth objectives.

Reporting directly to the CEO
, the Head of Finance plays a critical role in providing strategic financial guidance, managing financial risks, and driving financial performance

Role Requirements:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

· Develop and oversee the implementation of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts aligned with the organization's strategic objectives and financial targets.

· Conduct financial analysis, performance monitoring, and variance analysis to assess the organization's financial performance and identify areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities.

· Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making and drive business growth.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

· Ensure timely and accurate preparation and dissemination of financial reports, statements, and disclosures in compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies.

· Manage the external audit process, liaising with auditors and providing necessary documentation and support to facilitate the audit process and ensure compliance.

· Implement and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure integrity and accuracy in financial reporting.

Treasury and Cash Management:

· Oversee cash flow management, liquidity planning, and treasury operations to optimize cash resources, maximize investment returns, and minimize financing costs.

· Develop and implement strategies to manage interest rate risk, and other financial exposures effectively, hedging where appropriate to mitigate risks.

· Monitor banking relationships, negotiate financing arrangements, and manage relationships with financial institutions to support the organization's funding needs and strategic objectives.

Financial Strategy and Risk Management:

· Develop and execute financial strategies and initiatives to support the organization's growth objectives, capital allocation priorities, and shareholder value creation.

· Identify and assess financial risks, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk, and develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to protect the organization's financial interests.

Tax Planning and Compliance:

Develop and implement tax strategies and initiatives to optimize the organization's tax position, minimize tax liabilities, and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.

Monitor changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, assessing their impact on the organization's tax position and financial reporting requirements, and implementing appropriate adjustments or strategies to address them.

Manage relationships with tax authorities, external tax advisors, and other stakeholders to resolve tax-related issues, audits, and inquiries in a timely and satisfactory manner.

Financial Performance and Profitability:

Achieve financial targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue growth, profitability, and return on investment (ROI), demonstrating effective financial management and resource allocation.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:

Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of financial reports, statements, and disclosures in compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.

Cash Flow Management and Liquidity:

Maintain adequate cash reserves and liquidity to meet the organization's operating and investment needs, optimizing cash flow management and treasury operations.

Financial Risk Management:

Identify, assess, and manage financial risks effectively, implementing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to protect the organization's financial interests.

Tax Planning and Compliance:

Minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, implementing tax strategies and initiatives to optimize the organization's tax position

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field, MBA Finance /M-Com or professional certification (CPA, ACCA/ICMA/CA) preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.

In-depth knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations, with a proven track record of strategic financial planning and analysis.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior management, board members, and external stakeholders.

Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.

Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis tools, as well as accounting software and ERP systems.

Strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable strategies and initiatives that drive business growth and value creation
